How to care for resin serving board? Each piece is made with high-quality UV resistant epoxy resin that is very durable, but it still needs to be handled with care. It is recommended that you keep your piece out of direct sunlight for optimal protection, and keep it from being exposed to the elements that can damage the timber or resin. |
How to clean the resin serving board?I recommend wiping the serving boards with a wet cloth, please do not place in the dishwasher, or leave to soak in the sink. |
What oil do you use on the boards? All boards are coated with a food-safe oil that gives the resin and wood a mirror finish, and to protect the wood. If you feel the board needs to be re-nourished after time and usage, I recommend using Gilly's Chopping Board Oil - available at Bunnings to bring it back to life. |
Can I use it as a chopping board? Please DO NOT use the serving board as a chopping board. The resin and wood will scratch when using sharp knives and utensils. They are made to be loved and to share food with your friends and family. |
Can I place food directly on the serving board?Yes, you can place food directly on the serving board - they are made for this, and I only use food safe oil. I do not recommend placing food directly on the resin part, due to risk of scratches and chipping occurring. If you do so, I suggest using small serving dishes to sit on the resin part of the board. |
Do you create custom pieces?Yes absolutely! I love creating custom pieces, however I can only accept flora from customers within Western Australia due to our State biosecurity laws. Unfortunately, flora/seeds/nuts etc. are not allowed to be brought into or posted to our State. |
Do you accept fresh flowers?I work with both fresh and dried flowers, depending on your needs. If you are after a more vibrant board with live flowers, then I will need these 24-72 after the event so I can dry the flowers using a unique technique that helps preserve the quality and colour of the flowers. The longer the flowers wait to be dried the higher the risk of wilting, fading and bruising. I don't provide a colour correction option if your flowers come bruised. |
Do you accept dried flowers or do I need to dry them?Yes! It is time to dust off your bouquet that has been stored away for years and create a special resin piece from it! Let me work my magic and turn your precious bouquet into an art piece to display and treasure for ever. If there is mold or moisture on the flowers, I cannot accept them. If you are unsure that I can work with them and would really like to have a piece made, please feel free to email me some photos so that I can give you an answer. |

Where do you ship?Unfortunately, I do not offer international shipping although I am happy to ship anywhere within Australia. If you are after a quote on shipping, please contact me, Carmen via the 'contact' drop down. |
What is your turn around time on custom pieces? My turnaround time for orders depends on the time of year and the influx of orders. On average, expect about a 4-month turnaround time, however, this is not an exact timeline. I want to make sure all the details of your forever resin piece are perfect before shipping to you. |
Handcrafted & ImperfectionsPlease note that all of my products are hand-crafted by myself alone, I spend a lot of time ensuring they are finished to a high-quality standard. I have a high attention to detail and only issue products I am happy with. That being said, they don't come without some minor imperfections. There will be an odd bubble or bump - but I try my best to reduce this. |
